For 30 years, Matthew House, a nonprofit community-based organization, has provided food, daytime shelter, permanent supportive housing, and supportive services to men, women, families, and children who are experiencing or at risk of becoming homeless.
Last year 1,206 homeless/housing insecure persons were helped by Matthew House—a 24%increase over the previous year. This figure does not include dependent children, the number of whom has grown due to a huge increase in homeless families.
